Deutsch Kurzhaar vom Sturmland Puppy Sales Policies and Contracts
I am currently in the process of choosing a stud dog for a spring breeding. Minka typically comes into season in March. Presuming that happens and a breeding is successful, puppies may be available sometime in late May, 2011. I do not except deposits until the 45th day of pregnancy, but I do keep a list of perspective buyers. If you have interest in this planned breeding feel free to contact me.

Note: Calmness and trainability, enhanced with intensity in the field and water is the focus of this breeding. Males and females will likely be mid-standard sized.
The "Z" litter of which Zunder is a sibling of the last ever von Wittekind litter that will be produced. The von Wittekind line has produces many World renowned Deutsch Kurzhaars
thus has been of great and significant important's in furthering the Deutsch Kurzhaar breed. I am particularly honored to have the opportunity to breed toward the perpetuation of that great line of Kurzhaars.
Minka vom Schnepfenstrich Biography:
If I was allowed only to mention one of Minka's attributes it would be her phenomenal temperament. Minka is as calm a DK as you'll likely find and that is enhanced further by her desire to please. She is truly a pleasure to hunt with and live with. In fact the reason that I purchased Minka as a puppy was predominantly because of reading a rather lengthy litter notice complimenting the great calmness of the Sire of the expected litter, "Rocky vom Neuarenburg". That notice can be viewed in the Articles Section of this website.Calm ness and temperament come way before looks and pedigrees in my book.
Since I have owned at least one dog that was at the other end of the spectrum with respect to calmness and trainability, I was not looking to further punish myself with a lot of wasted time and effort trying to put lipstick on a pig. Minka was simply the answer to my prayers.
In our German performance based breeding and testing system, there are many things that an unsettled dog is not likely to do well including blood tracking, searching methodically and following scent trails. More importantly good obedience is much easier to obtain and enforce when a dog is calm and willing to please. I am lucky to have Minka and proud to hunt with her.
Minka was Designate V1 of the female dogs at the NAKP Zuchtschau (Breed Show) The comments of the two German judges: "We can find no faults with this dog!".
