Sales Policies and Related Written Agreements:

In order to insure that each vom Sturmland Kurzhaar puppy achieves it's maximum potential, and will be used for it's intended purpose as a "versatile" hunting companion, it important that it arrives at the right home. Making sure that happens is a very important part of my responsibility as a breeder and a hunter.

I have owned a number of DK's and GSPs over the years and each one projected a different temperament. Often a particular dog will require modification of a specific training method or strategy. Training a versatile hunting Kurzhaar is not an event; it's a process. Training and testing requires a significant commitment of time, travel and determination, but the rewards are worthwhile.

With the above in mind, whenever possible puppies will be sold to those willing to train them within the German performance based system. Special preference will be given to real world hunters. In addition hunters that belong to JGHV, and or DKV affiliated clubs, will be given the highest priority. First time handlers that are willing to train within the German performance based breeding system are welcome to inquire, and will recieve as much help training as I can offer should they purchase a puppy. Purchasing a puppy for hunting should be seen as an opportunity to own and hunt over a world class versatile breed and as an opportunity to learn the basics of how to train a versatile hunting dog.

My intention is always to encourage interested hunters to be part of what I believe is the best system in the world for perpetuating a high quality versatile hunting dog. Be sure that it's my intent never to sell a Kurzhar puppy to a non-hunter.
